August 2025

The Wayne Township Education Foundation (WTEF) welcomes new executive committee leadership serving from 2025-2027. For the first time in history, a teacher will serve as President of WTEF. Also, for the first time, all four Wayne Township Education Foundation board officers are MSD of Wayne Township staff.

Board President Kristen Dawn is a German teacher and Impact Coordinator at Ben Davis High School. She has served for many years as the Wayne Township Classroom Teachers Association representative on the board. Board Vice President Michelle Stohler does the important work of connecting Chapelwood Elementary with its students’ families as their Parent Liaison. Board Secretary Angela Barnes is a computer science teacher at the Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center. And Board Treasurer William Esquivel is a Technology Applications Specialist and Department of Education Data Liaison in MSD Wayne.

“It means so much to our community to have this commitment from our school district staff to the mission of the Wayne Township Education Foundation. It’s an incredible message to our community that our staff believes in the work of their colleagues and does this work on their behalf.” said WTEF Executive Director Lisa Baize. “We’re excited about the leadership our new officers will provide in the coming year.”

The four new officers began their one-year terms at the beginning of July.
